Notary Services Explained
A Notary Public in NSW is a solicitor appointed by the Supreme Court of NSW upon proof of good character and long experience in the practice of law. A notary is authorised by law to certify and attest to documents required for use in overseas countries. Red Seal Notary's notary is a member of The Society of Notaries of NSW. It offers a full range of notarial services to companies, individuals and other firms of solicitors.
Notarisation of a document is achieved when the notary issues a Certificate authenticated by his/her official seal of office. Notarised documents are officially accepted internationally. A Notary Public might loosely be described as an "international JP", but has other, more far reaching duties than a JP, as set out below. A JP is only permitted to take oaths, declarations and certify copy documents for use in Australia, and not overseas.
Red Seal Notary is qualified to assist you in following notarial matters:
- powers of attorney for use overseas

- naturalisation
